Gibraltar - A ship register of choice

The Register of Ships, headed by the Maritime Administrator, is one of two divisions that come under the responsibilty of Ministry of Enterprise, Development, Technology & Transport. The other is the Gibraltar Port Authority.

Gibraltar is the European Union's only Category One Red Ensign register other than the UK and offers shipowners the opportunity of belonging to a British register and being able to fly the Red Ensign without incurring high costs.
