Tourism is a major success story in Gibraltar with over eight million tourists visiting the Rock in 2006.

Gibraltar has many natural and historical wonders – and the Tourist Board has been making it easier for visitors to enjoy them by providing clear information, developing sites and promoting guided tours.

Many of the tourist attractions are being overhauled and upgraded, to provide a better quality experience. Many areas, including the old town, have been refurbished and improved. Environmental concerns have been targeted by the government as it seeks to ensure that visitors to Gibraltar enjoy the many attractions available to them.
