WEATHER WARNINGS:PERSS RELEASE OS 35 Update – Boom re-deployed after bad weather

The Captain of the Port has confirmed that, following the weekend’s bad weather and subsequent easing of severe swell and wind conditions, the boom is being redeployed around the OS 35.
As soon as it is safe to do so, dive surveys will be undertaken to assess any damage caused by the bad weather.
A handful of tar balls that washed up at Catalan Bay over the weekend have been removed by the pollution team. Constant daily monitoring along Gibraltar’s coastline remains in place.
